Short Hikes in Albuquerque

Two short hikes (less than 2 hours) and almost within city limits. The first hike took us from the Tramway station towards the La Luz Trail on Sandia Peak’s west slope.

The second hike is located on the west side of the city, just next to the Indian Petroglyph State Park and took us around three old volcanos, the three Sisters.

Sandia Peak Tramway built in 1966 by a Swiss Company Snow is not seen very often here Looking west Towards La Luz Trail which goes all the way to the top Sandia Peak, on the left side Santa Fe Baldy and Truchas Peaks This way to Grand Canyon and Los Angeles Looking north, Jemez Mountains
